After a “professional” career, I decided to turn my hobby of many years – stained glass – into a business – Illusions Stained Glass. I had stained glass supplies, taught classes and did commission work. A few years later I decided to add other Wyoming artisans. The splendor of the state is reflected in the products made and grown here from fine arts, crafts, foods, and wood products. Wyoming’s legendary natural beauty, spectacular landscapes, majestic mountain ranges and expansive, open skies are reflected in the goods created here and truly display artistic pride and fine craftsmanship. This then provided space for my stained glass studio, satisfied my own love of arts and crafts, provided an outlet for local artisans to sell their work and for locals and visitors alike to see the artisans work.

Then, totally by chance, I had an opportunity to move my business to historic downtown Buffalo. This was an awesome opportunity and was very exciting to be in a historic downtown building -- but what was I going to do with all the space! So, my next passion in life was clothing, particularly used clothing where I could satisfy my champagne taste on a beer budget. My husband can attest to the fact that I can spot a second hand store or consignment store a mile away – so I decided why not add in consigned clothing. Of course I had to add in some other stuff – thus “sophisticated whatisits” and “eclectic enhancements.

So, I am now Artful Hands & Consignment, which is also the home of Illusions Stained Glass Studio. What more could I want! I have stained glass, clothes and handmade art and crafts! And I have the love and patience of my wonderful husband, Dave.
