ARTIST CONSIGNMENT INFORMATION
Artful Hands will be the agent for the works of art consigned to Artful Hands by the artist for the purposes of exhibition and
sale. Artful Hands shall not permit the artworks to be used for any other purposes without the written consent of the artist.
Pricing & Commission: Artful Hands shall sell the artwork only at the retail price specified by the artist. Artful Hands’
commission is 40% of the selling prices.
Promotion: Artful Hands shall use its best efforts to promote the sale of the artworks. Artful Hands will provide adequate
display of the artwork and will undertake other promotional activities on the artist’s behalf. Artful Hands shall identify all
artworks with the artist’s name. Other promotions include, but are not limited to, radio advertising, newspaper advertising
in Buffalo, Sheridan and Gillette, webpage, featured artist and open house’s.
Display Space: The artist is entitled to display space in accordance with the size and number of pieces. Therefore, the number of pieces allowed will vary for each artist according to size and content. Artful Hands will try to accommodate your
work in an appropriate space relevant to your work, especially if your work has particular needs. Use of your own display
stands must be approved by Artful Hands. Artists will not have claim to any one specific area in the gallery. All art work and displays will be moved at least once every other month for aesthetic purposes and to keep a fresh look in the gallery. -
CLOTHING, ACCESSORY AND HOME DÉCOR CONSIGNMENT
Clear out your gently-used good woman’s clothing & bring them to Artful Hands & Consignment! Here’s how to become a
valued consignor: select your in-season gently used woman’s clothes. Make sure everything is clean and pressed. Hanging
will keep it neat. The better it looks, the more you’ll make. Clothes sell only in-style, so if you bought it new within the last
couple of years, it’s probably fine. We know how busy you are and we know you want to drop off your consignments whenever you’re in our area. So, we have a wonderful system, it’s called “Drop & Run”. Drop off your items anytime and be on your way! We’ll write your receipt that day and have it ready for you to pick-up the next day or will put it in the mail. You won’t have to wait while we check in your items. Plus, we’ll be able to price your consignments more accurately to get you the best return possible. Using Drop & Run is simple. Just label your batch with your name and consignment account number and we’ll do the rest. If there are items that we are unable to accept to sell for you, we can donate them directly to charity. But if you want any “no thank you’s” back, we’ll be happy to hold them for a day or so. We don’t have a lot of storage space, though, so be sure to return for such items promptly.
Artful Hands & Consignment sets the selling price. When an item sells, you receive one-half of the selling price. If an item does not sell within 30 days, it is reduced 20%, if it does not sell within 60 days it is reduced by 40%. If an item has not sold within 90 days it will be removed from the sales floor. You may pick up any unsold items or we can donate your items to charity. Checks are mailed by the 10th of every month. However, if the amount is less than $10 it is rolled over to the next month.
